Our responsiveness to distractions is widely influenced to avoid pain at work.

When was the last time you had one hour to do one thing at a time? We feel compelled to be pro-active. But in truth, we're reacting to an unconscious agenda. The job is made easier when we encountered many instant gratification from our personal fans groups.

I bet you have checked your accounts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Blogs. Watched a YouTube video. Uploaded photos on FlickR. Skimmed the news. Searched on Google. Made three phone calls.Typed an email, while hearing your sms ping ping. And do the job at the same minute, under pressure. And by coincidence worked extensively until 9pm...

Counterintuitively, the speed of work is powerfully accelerating the way we work and has divided by 100 our capabilities to control our attention. We, clearly, tapped into something deep: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder now.

We are creatures of responsiveness, bouncing from one thing to another. Creatures of Technology. We institute the new culture of doingness. We are the ball of a pinball machine. Worldwide.

And we can't reverse it. Because todlers, children, students are already hit by the wave.
